COMMUNITY MEETINGS 1 to 4
Across the December 15, 2016, January 18, 2017, March 4,2017, and June 24, 2017 meetings, we received hundreds of questions and comments. We heard this feedback via open forum at the first meeting, breakout tables at the second, third, and fourth, notecards at all, and occasional questions from the website.
The more frequently asked questions pertained to socioeconomic issues, including the potential for residential and commercial displacement, how affordability levels will be determined at each building, and the demographics of possible new residents. Other recurring topics included the potential effects of construction on the neighborhood, and possible effects to existing transportation (including subway, bus, and pedestrian routes, and parking), and community facilities (especially schools). Broadly, participants were striving to understand how decisions are made in the environmental review process, what subjects are included in the EIS, and what overall impacts these developments may have on the community.
More in depth summaries of all four meetings can be found here:
Questions and concerns were recorded as accurately as possible. Answers to both can be found here.
